About The Author

Frank S. Joseph

Frank S Joseph lived this story. As an Associated Press reporter, he was in the thick of the inner-city riots that marked and marred Chicago in the mid ‘60s. In ’67 he covered the Detroit riot where three dozen-plus lost their lives. And in ’68, he was on the street for the infamous ‘68 Democratic National Convention disorders.

Frank left Chicago in ’69, landing at The Washington Post as an editor during Watergate. He went on to create award-winning publishing companies and make a mark as a noted direct marketing consultant.

Frank lives in Chevy Chase MD with his wife Carol Jason. They are the parents of Sam and Shawn.
